I’m Antony Anderton, Chartered Financial Planner and founder of Anderton & Associates Financial Planning. I’ve worked in financial services for over 25 years, starting my career with HSBC after graduating from university in Manchester.
From there, I went on to work with Santander in the UK and then onto Lloyds TSB Offshore Banking in the Middle East, where I spent 10 years helping clients with their financial needs before returning to the UK.
Since 2003, I’ve specialised in financial planning, working with some of the world’s largest banks both overseas and at home in the UK.
In 2020, I achieved Chartered status from the London Institute of Banking and Finance - an achievement that reflected three years of study alongside my client work, and one that underpins my commitment to delivering the very best advice.
My areas of expertise include:
- Investment Planning – building and managing strategies to help clients achieve their long-term goals
- Pensions & Retirement Planning – supporting clients through both the pre-retirement journey and post-retirement planning
- Inheritance Tax Planning – helping families protect and pass on their wealth efficiently
Based in Southport, I work with individuals, families, and business owners across the North West and throughout the UK. Many of my clients are people who, like me, have experience of living and working overseas, including professionals in the oil and gas sector.
My approach is holistic and lifestyle-focused, meaning I take the time to understand not only your finances but also the life you want to live—now and in the future.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about health and fitness. I’ve completed eight half marathons and multiple Hyrox fitness events, and I enjoy hiking, playing golf, and staying active. I’m also a dog lover and very close to my family, who keep me grounded and motivated.
Ultimately, I set up Anderton & Associates Financial Planning to create a business built around providing fantastic financial advice that genuinely makes a difference to people’s lives. My goal is simple: to give clients confidence and clarity in their financial decisions, so they can focus on living the life they want.
